Dr. Mariano Palena is an Interventional Radiologist Consultant at Policlinico Abano Terme-PD-Italy. He is actively engaged in advanced clinical research and teaching activities.

Dr. Mariano Palena education and work experience
Dr. Palena graduated from the University of Bologna, Italy, where he also completed his postgraduate and specialization studies.
From Sept. 2019 until June 2022 he has been the Director of Endovascular Surgery Unit at GVM Maria Cecilia Hospital in Cotignola, Ravenna (Italy) and from 2010 to 2019 he has been the co-director of Interventional Radiology at Policlinico Abano Terme, PD, Italy.
Dr. Palena research & teaching commitment
Dr. Mariano Palena is actively engaged in advances clinical research of the endovascular treatment of lower limb arterial disease and the treatment of diabetic foot. In particular, Dr. Palena focuses on the treatment of chronical arterial occlusions as well as of the femoral, tibial and foot arteries.
Together with Dr. Marco Manzi, they have been CLI-Courses (CLI-C) directors since 2017. You can find more information about these courses throughout the website.

Dr. Palena is a member of the Italian Society of Medical Radiology (SIRM) and he is on the editorial board and is a reviewer for several international medical journals. He himself is the author of several articles, chapters and abstracts on advanced and cutting edge techniques for the revascularization of the vessels of legs and feet.
